Sitting outside like this felt extremely peaceful but probably only because my brain was slowly freezing. It takes about 15 min for my eyes to adjust to the dark but then the stars are amazing. I was staying up to check the sky hourly for the best darkness. The moon is so bright it’s been very difficult however the clouds have rolled in now. I did manage to capture it very faintly earlier but tonight I can try again. 4am and time for bed 😴

My fire incidents: my little tiny propane tank caught on fire (I was setting it up to make hot chocolate), and the second thing is I stood too close to the big heater tryin to warm up my tush and melted my ski pants so now I have to go get new ones. My legs are bruised due to my tiny self trying to man handle that drill and auger through over three feet of solid ice. I had to really brace it against my legs as I got further into it. I’m beginning to believe perhaps I shouldn’t be as unsupervised as I want to be 🤦🏻♀️

-31°c….when I tried to get out he took his pig and took off down the road. I followed him to his driveway. This may seem strange but this is not uncommon out in rural farmland, dogs are everywhere.
