The makeup artist, a Russian woman with a sweet face and thick blonde mane, approached my face for the first time and asked, “May I touch you?” (Such a powerful question!) Yes. She lifts my chin with her fingertips and looks into my eyes with a smile. “Ah, you’re perfect.” She picks up a brush….“and today you want to be a little mermaid?”
