Note that all of these patients (the Berlin patient, the London patient, and the Brazil patient) also had specific cancers where the treatment of choice was a bone marrow transplant. In these cases, a bone marrow transplant from a CCR5- donor does appear to be curative when it comes to HIV. Science is fascinating. Have you heard of this before? Let me know in the comments below.
