So, what is up with those red spots on my torso recently?

Well, this is the culprit. I was in pursuit of the perfect sear, so preheated a huge cast iron, put some coconut oil in, watched the oil hit its smoke point, then happily flopped this steak in the pan, not thinking that maybe the oil will splash if I flop the steak in carelessly.
I continued cooking the steak and it was juicy and perfect.
It left its mark though and that's healing 😅
