We fully got stuck on land! With no phones! Lucky we had car keys and our money card 😂
We took the puppy for a walk and we didn’t realise it was a king tide? Or a storm surge? Anyway the water was way the fuck up! It created 1/2 metre swell right on the shoreline.
As you can guess, we tried to leave, I jump on with Rudda in my arms and next thing, a massive wave crashed just right over me and into the boat! Immediately unusable! I had to jump out quick as with the dog before another came in and sunk us 😂 I was literally sooooaked and shivering and had no extra clothes 😂
So we had to drag the heavy asf dingey up onto the grass to empty it and knew we weren’t getting back 😅 usually the high tide doesn’t block anything so the swell was just so bad. Ended up going to a little town for a beer and pizza while we wait for the tide to go down.
I’m soooo cursing myself for not bringing any phones 😭 or a dry bag! We need to keep safety at the forefront but we got too comfortable lol.
