No one is allowed to swim directly under the waterfall - there’s a viewing platform patrolled by rangers and more rangers on the ground, to stop such a beautiful place being ruined by footfall (or swimfall), but it’s not far to walk to swim further along.
There is a slightly smaller, but still very impressive waterfall you can swim under (and leap off, if you’re brave enough).
