Surgery update! So, I'm writing this one day out of the operating room. As I believe I mentioned before, my surgeon who originally did my implants (and the expanders of most women in the US!), Dr Domanskis, passed away. This meant it was a really, really bad time to have a problem with them. As I suspected, there was a leak in my left breast -- it turned out the leak was in the valve, in no less than 3 (!) places. I was lucky that I didn't lose all volume. Fortunately, I was able to see Dr. Baeke, who trained Dr. Domanskis a long time ago, and who has taken over Dr. Domanskis' patients; it was not cheap, though a near and dear friend helped me out financially to get me taken care of, for which I'm extremely grateful. Were it not for him, I would be in... a real bad situation. I'm pretty hurt and it's pretty grisly (though I'll take some pictures anyway probably for those of you who want to see the gory cuts, you weird perverts ;) ), but I am no longer damaged! I am happy to report I am back to having functioning expanders, and as an added bonus I was able to swap up to 2500cc shells from the 2000cc shells that I originally had, which gives me a LOT more wiggle room when I can get back to doing fills. It will be some time until I can fill again -- at least a month or so -- and it'll be some time before I'm limber to shoot again (to lay down on my back, move equipment around, tense up with orgasm, all of that), but I am so happy to report I'm recovering. Sadly, I lost no small amount of volume -- I went from ~4800cc to 3600cc, which sucks, but.. it's better than not having any tits at all! Part of me knows, logically, that 3600cc isn't small even though it feels like it to me (it's tiny!!), but I can always, always add more saline, so it's not the end of the world. I just wanted to touch base, let you guys know what was going on and where I'm at, and thank you all for your well-wishes throughout this pretty shitty period. I'll be spending most of my energy recovering, but I just had to share the good news and let you all know that I'm seeing the light on the other end of the tunnel.
