Added 2021-09-16 00:28:15 +0000 UTCOne of my best friends (BG) told me today that a couple days ago he got into a bar fight. Because he’s black. He stopped in a dive bar he hadn’t been to before. He’s standing at the bar drinking his beer and a guy walks up to him, puts a hand on BG’s shoulder, turns my friend around and says he needs to get out of there and punches my friend right between the eyes. My friend proceeded to drop him. The bar said he should leave but allowed him to finish his beer before doing so. BG paid the dudes tab (still lying on the ground) and left. My friend is a goddamn disabled Air Force vet! He’s 6’3” and wears his camo pants 24/7. BG isn’t even his initials, it’s my nickname for him- stands for Body Guard. He’s my body guard. I’m disheartened to say the absolute least. And that this wasn’t even that big of a deal to him that I didn’t even hear about it for days. Just.. disgusted.
