

Welp, since I'm not posting as much sexy stuff, I figure I should at least get y'all updated with my food life π So here's what I made tonight, text via my post on a FB cooking group ππ: 'First time air-frying katsu and it came out so well! π I've got a love-hate relationship with air fryers, as I totally dig the convenience and "healthiness" but I can never figure out how to make things crispy and delicious the way real frying does π€ Well, I may have figured out (at least part of) the solution! The trick is to *pre-brown* the breadcrumbs in a pan before coating...makes a WORLD of a difference!!! π€© My chicken katsu came out crusty, golden brown, and delicious π I threw it on top of some trusty Golden Curry (a premade 'roux' that you can buy from any Asian market that makes for a delicious Japanese curry) with carrots, potatoes, onion, and peas (classic!), and added some shredded cabbage with a simple miso ginger dressing on the side.
