Added 2020-02-22 11:39:14 +0000 UTCSooo another health update: My doctor decided to prescribe me another medication in the same family as the first, which has also been known to cause psychosis and psychiatric breakdowns. Great. Well thankfully I looked it up before taking it, because the FDA took it off the market in 2018 to update the labels with mental health side effects. At this point I don’t know what to do anymore. If I take it and have another break down like that, I’ll have to be hospitalized if I can’t force myself to sleep it off again. So it’s either become a psychotic mess, or develop stomach ulcers / cancer. Cool right? I know I’m not supposed to rely on the Internet for medical advice but she literally prescribed me the same thing twice after it damn near killed me. (Those meds are enough to make even the most mentally stable go suicidal.) So I guess I’ll be seeking a doctor that takes me seriously when I tell them I can’t go through that again. My worry is that this is the only option. I’d rather be hospitalized with IV antibiotics for 10 days than take it and go through what I went through again.
