For those of you that don’t follow me on my OF snap (see my pinned post for details) pretty much all of my houseplants died/ are in the process of dying a slow death from when I lost power for three days in the ice storm. It got down to the teens inside my house so I kinda knew it would happen. I’m honestly heartbroken. Some of these plants where a couple years old and very important to me. While I’m sentimental about them, unfortunately that’s not the only problem with replacing them. They were also stupid expensive. I guess it’s like anything in a collection. When you buy something one at a time it doesn’t feel that crazy....but to replace it all at once... 🙃... you can’t really replace three years of collecting overnight I guess 😞 I think I’d like to do a “buy maggie new plants” post so I can replace all my dead babies. I dont know, it feels like a “if life gives you lemons” kind of situation. Some of my favorite posts have been based on a similar premise so I know that doesn’t have to be all doom and gloom Like you guys BLEW MY FUCKING MIND with my lingerie fund post in October. I have some photos in mind that I want to post but I’m open to other suggestions if you want to see something in particular. As always, I love your thoughts and I appreciate your condolences. I know it feels silly to get attached to something like a plant but holy fuck I was. These had names. I fucking named them. And now they are dead and I am sad
