I was a server/bartender for almost 10 years. I actually really enjoyed it, although I'm not a huge drinker. I worked thru a lot of the pandemic but once the restaurant I was at shut down for a few weeks then I moved on. Now, this is what I do! And I love it💜 but also remember, what you do for a living doesn't equate to your value as a person. For the longest time I directly correlated my value with the amount of money I made, and I didn't feel like I benefited the people in my life unless I was providing something for them. It's really skewed how I've felt about myself a lot of times, but the way in which you benefit capitalism isn't what your life should revolve around. Unless you're absolutely head over heels for what you do, in which case..that's fucking amazing and you may have found the secret to life
