"It's full of weird sex stuff...way too much for me, but you'll probably like it." I felt simultaneously attacked and SEEN. The short story "Inventory" stood out to me even back in November when I read it. It was so gripping; so relatable. It reminded me of one of my favorite trilogies by another feminist author, Margaret Atwood. Like "Inventory," Atwood's MaddAddam trilogy is set in a dystopian near-future ravaged by a deadly virus. About halfway through the reading, it will become clear why this story bubbled up in my consciousness and took up residence in recent months. Please leave your thoughts in the comments!
